Certification documents, marks and accreditation symbols may be used only under written authorization and the rules of the responsible certification body.
Permitted use
- Reference only the certified legal entity, sites, activities, standard and scope shown on the valid certificate.
- Use approved artwork without altering proportions, colors, wording or required clear space.
- Use the mark only while certification remains valid and only in the media authorized by the issuing body.
Prohibited use
- Do not place a management-system certification mark on a product, primary product packaging, laboratory test report, calibration report or inspection report.
- Do not imply that a product, process, person, non-certified site or excluded activity is certified.
- Do not use a mark or statement in a misleading way, or imply approval by IAS or another accreditation body beyond the responsible body’s authorized scope.
- Sistema Certification & Inspection clients may not use the IAS symbol unless the accredited certification body and IAS have expressly authorized that use.
Suspension, reduction and withdrawal
During suspension, the client must stop promotion of the affected certification and comply with instructions concerning marks and public claims. Following reduction or withdrawal, affected references must be corrected or removed from websites, stationery, advertising, proposals and other media within the period notified by the responsible body.
Misuse and enforcement
Misuse may lead to corrective-action requests, suspension, reduction or withdrawal, publication of the status, legal action or notification to relevant authorities. Suspected misuse can be reported through the public complaints form.
